Christmas - Chapter 2
First we have Grandma's presants to us. Mom didn't get many pictures of us with Grandma's gifts because we were so fast and crazy. Sasha and I each got a baggie of chewies that are really long. They're really cool cuz I can hold them, in my paws and not have to bend over so far to reach them. I got a new rope with millions of knots (it's half undone already) and Sasha and Gunnar got a mouse on a string. Yes, Sasha got a cat toy and I'm jealous. That little mouse is tons of fun to play with. I can play with it as long as I promise not to tear it up. I've had it taken away many times since Christmas. Sasha loves the mouse because it's small and she can flip it around and do crazy things with it. There's no pictures of her with it because she's too fast.
Okay, now for my Aunt Gillian. Mom says Aunt Gillian is the biggest dork she's ever known. Mom is 9 years older than her sister and pretty much raised her. Does that mean Mom taught her sister her dorky ways? No, cuz I agree with Mom. My Aunt Gillian is a dork! ANYWAY, Mom and Aunt Gillian play jokes on each other when it comes to gifts. For Mom's birthday this year my Aunt Gillian wrapped up miniature candy bars indivdualy and then put them in a Scooby-Doo tackle box with a HUGE amount of confetti. Mom's birthday was in October and we're still finding confetti and she opened that outside!! So Mom and Dad started planning paybacks. First, there was a tire iron she needed for her truck. She was totally not surprised when she opened it. Can you see the dorkness in this picture?
Then came the BIG one. This was hilarious and took forever to wrap and unwrap.
There was this big box (it was made for a radiator and fit under the tree perfectly with everything else perfectly inside).
Then there was another box.
And then another.
And finally the jack for her truck. Through the unwrapping process there was also a t-shirt, 6 pairs of socks (individually wrapped in pairs of course) and a little grow your own boyfriend thing. I think my Mom was having more fun laughing at Aunt Gillian than Aunt Gillian did opening all of those presants. It took Mom and Dad forever to wrap all of those boxes and socks and Mom says it was totally worth it. Aunt Gillian turns 21 next September and Mom is already starting to plan for that. Maybe Aunt Gillian did learn her dorkiness from my Mom.
There was TONS of wrapping paper and boxes when Aunt Gillian finally finished and Gunnar had a blast playing in all of it. He was upset when Dad cleaned it all up. Gunnar wanted it left out all week, but Mom and Dad said noway. There was too much and you couldn't walk through the living room very well. They did let him keep a box though.
I got them all in! I'm exhausted just thinking about all the fun I had on Christmas. I better go take a nap now just in case Mom and Dad plan some more fun adventures for this weekend that I don't know about.
Have a good weekend!!!

Christmas - Chapter 1
It's going to take several posts because Mom took so many pictures and I want to share a bunch of them with you. Here's Chapter 1 of Our Christmas 2007.
Gunnar spent all day Christmas Eve guarding the presants.
There were no presants under the tree for us though. They were in our stocking and they were put there after Mom and Dad got home from work. I was kind of upset about it because it looked like we weren't getting any presants! BUT the reason they waited was because of the smell! Sasha and I could smell the wonderful smell of a special treat we get every Christmas. YUMMY BONES!!! Dad got the stockings down for us and Sasha and I went crazy.
I got my bone first because I'm bigger and I kept stepping on Sasha.
It took Dad forever to get the bone unwrapped. He wouldn't let me do it because he said I'd eat the wrapper.
I took the bone straight to my living room bed because I knew Mom didn't want me to get the carpet messy.
The bone was too big for Sasha to carry so she stayed where Dad put it.
Gunnar got this purple ball thing on a string that drives me crazy! I don't know why, but as soon as he starts playing with it, I go psycho!
Santa brough Sasha and I some Schmakos and Gunnar got some of the Chicken and Cheese treats he likes. He also brought us a new water dish. It holds lots of water. It's great!! Gunnar always drank all the water in the other one and it was always empty. There's a problem with this new water jug though. As you can see in this picture, Gunnar is afraid of it. Sasha is, too, but she's been seen drinking out of it. See how Gunnar is all stretched out in the picture below. The jug wasn't making any noise or anything. Don't worry though, Dad put a bowl of water out for Gunnar to convince him to drink and it's right beside the new one so hopefully he'll be convinced to drink out of the new one. If not, Mom says she'll get the syringes out from when Gunnar was sick and force him to drink again (nobody wants that again!!!). It's because of him we got the bigger water jug and he's afraid of it!! What a dork!!
That's all for now. Check back tomorrow to see what Grandma brought us!! I have to tell you about my Aunt Gillian's gift, too. She's also a dork.
Oh yeah, I didn't get the kids I asked for. Mom says Santa doesn't bring kids as gifts. If anybody knows how I can get some kids, let me know. Mom isn't being helpful in explaining how that works.

My Sunday
We didn't get more snow, we went and found snow. We went for a ride in MY Jeep and played!
This is MY Jeep on the trail we were on. We were actually going on another trail, but the gate was closed so we got out and of the Jeep to play.
I chased a rabbit and some birds and ate some snow (Dad kept telling me not to or I'd get to cold, but I couldn't help it)!! My Aunt Gillian threw snow at me and we played snow monster. Right after this picture Aunt Gillian got her foot stuck in the snow and I dug her foot out. The crazy girl doesn't own anything but cowboy boots!!! She needs to go shopping with Mom and Dad sometime and find her a good deal on some real boots! Mom was laughing too hard to take the picture of me digging her foot out.
Since we couldn't get through the gate we went to another place to eat lunch. There was less snow there and I've been dove hunting in that spot before so I went to work sniffing right away. Mom kept telling me to take a break. That's when I realized we were stopping for lunch. After I ate half of Mom's ham sandwich and some chips my slob of an aunt dropped on the ground, I went back to sniffing.
Last night we did a photo shoot for Mom. Usually when Dad puts the antlers on me and Mom pulls out her camera, the antlers come off, but I decided to let Mom take my picture. I refused to stand so the tree or the fireplace was my background though. Mom settled for a few presants and the shoe wrack.
Mom says Gunnar's is the best Bah-Humbug picture she's ever seen. I'd have to agree. Gunnar better hope Santa doesn't see this! I know Santa reads my blog though! HAHAHAH!
It took 4 shots to get this picture of Sasha. Mom says every picture she has of Sasha, she looks worried.
Mom keeps reading things that say a tired dog is a good dog and boy am I a good dog!! Sasha was at Grandma's house while we were playing (she gets cold really easy and car sick when we're playing in the Jeep) so she's pretty tired, too. Mom says she gets the afternoon off today so when she gets home we're going to start baking bread and pie for tomorrow and we're going to make a cheese ball!!! Cheese and ball!! Two of my favorite things!!!
I better go take another nap so I'll be all rested up to help Mom. I can't wait for tomorrow!!!! I hope all you dogs, cats, hamsters and humans have a wonderful Christmas!! I KNOW I AM!!!!! I'M SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!

Lots Of Thank Yous
Thanks for all the new dogs checking out my blog. I promise I'll check your's out soon. I'm going to be adding a bunch of you to my links bar thing, too. I might talk Mom into staying home with me to help me get my blog updated this afternoon or next week sometime. That will keep her busy and be close by so I can keep an eye on her at the same time.
My next thank you's go out to my dear Flash's Grammie and also to the AO4. Here was Grammie's comment from yesterday about my "situation:" "Those are not lab prints. They were made by a special alien Christmas invader. I have seen them in the past. They only come out in December and they always get on a table. They are known to have tuffs of black fur. Case Closed." She is so smart!!! Zim said " gotta tell ya ... a coyote got into our fenced in back yard the other day and left prints in the snow that look EXACTLY like that. Really. Or maybe the cat drew the prints like finger/paw painting to try to frame you. Amber thinks maybe Santa's reindeer were on a recon mission and accidentally got on the table. Yep ... I'd go with reindeer. Definitely not YOUR prints, at any case. Trust me, I'm a Siberian.Play bows,Zim. "
So I was going to convince Mom and Dad that the prints were DEFINATELY something like Grammie and those smart Siberians were describing. BUT, we found out yesterday that my fellow Colorado dog friend, Ginger, was the one that was right! This was her comment: "Well, duh! OBVIOUSLY a really big, dirty squirrel has broken into your house and walked all over, trying to get you in trouble! Those squirrels are wiley and evil I tell you!Nubbin wagsGinger." When Dad was letting us out after he got home from work yesterday I could see something in the lilac bush. I told Sasha I saw something and as soon as Dad opened the door, we ZOOOMED to the bush and there as a squirell!! I tried to corner him for questioning, but Sasha tried to kill him (she hasn't met her quota for the year). Of course he got scarred and got awaybefrore I cold get him to answer and I'm pretty sure he had a heart attache a couple blocks away. I know it was him that snuck into my house and tried to get me in trouble! Squirrels can fit in small places and are really quiet. I was busy guarding the front door, Sasha was busy guarding the bed and Gunnar ws busy guarding the computer room chair so the kitchen, laundry and dining room were totally open areas for him to sneak into my house and frame me!!! I'm glad that's over. Thanks for all your help everybody!!! And keep an eye out for those sneaky squirrels!! Ginger's right!!!
On Ginger's blog she also had some fun stuff. You have to try these out! I know what reindeer I am and my elf name! Here's my results! It's so much fun! Thanks for sharing Ginger!!
I'm Rudolph!! Mom says the description fits me perfectly!!
You Are Rudolph |
Why You're Naughty: You sometimes stick that nose where it doesn't belong Why You're Nice: Christmas would be a sad affair without you! |
My Elf Name
Your Elf Name Is... |
Thanks again everybody for thoughts and wishes to my Mom. Grammie, your comment made Mom cry, but she said in a good way. Even though Mom and her mom weren't close or really on speaking terms, it's still hard because it was her mom. Her brother and stepfather are being mean about stuff, too which isn't helping at all. I met Mom's brother once and boy did I let him know what I thought of him. Mom was really surprised when I went off on him for no reason. Mom said though that dogs have a good scent (Mom says it's actually sense, but I'm the dog, not her!) when it comes to people and his scent was bad!!! I've never met Mom's stepdad, but I bet his scent stinks, too.
It's almost time for Mom to come home for her lunch break now so I better go wait for her. Have a great weekend everybody and if I don't post next week, Have a Merry Christmas!!! I hope Santa Paws is very generous to all of you!!

More Evidence & Mom
I'm not worried about Santa not bringing me presants anymore though. I sooo totally made up for it yesterday. I was getting ready to go post more about the new evidence and all of a sudden Mom came home. It was only 2:30 so I was really surprised she was home already. We all went to tell her we missed her, but I could tell something was wrong. She didn't tell us anything, but we knew something was wrong. We tried to get Mom to play with us to cheer her up and then we got the hint this was not play time so Sasha, Gunnar and I all crawled up on the couch and watched cartoons with Mom. It turns out my Mom's mother died yesterday morning. My Aunt Gillian called Mom at work after their sister-in-law called my Aunt during lunch. Aunt Gillian tried catching Mom on her lunch break but she was still talking to their sister-in-law. My Mom and my aunt didn't have a good relationship with their mom, but it's still sad when someone you know dies, especially a parent or other family member. Mom is doing okay. She says it's mostly confusion she's dealing with right now. Her Mom was diagnosed with cancer a couple months ago and it spread really really fast. I only met the lady a couple times and both time I barked at her really loud. The last time she came to my house she upset my Mom really really bad and NOBODY does that to my Mom. I hadn't been living with my family very long when that happened (only a few weeks), but I loved my Mom a lot from the first day so I wasn't going to let someone be so mean to someone so wonderful. Sasha told me about when she lived with our Mom's Mom. Sasha is the one the started calling her the "Mean Lady." Sasha said she was always getting blamed for stuff that the other pets in the house would do. How can you blame a miniature dacshund for peeing a lake's worth on a rug when there's a St. Bernard living in the house? Sasha had to spend a lot of time kenneled up when she lived there. Sasha said Aunt Gillian helped take care of her, but she was too young to stick up for Sasha. After Sasha and Mom moved into our house with Dad, Mom and Sasha would still go to the other house to visit and Sasha would still get blamed for chewing on stuff. One time she even got blamed for being the only dog that would poop on the floor when Mom's brother's little dog was there and was well known for pooping in the house unlike Sasha. Sasha said the lady was always mean to Mom and she didn't like Dad. How can you not like Dad? He's one of the bestest people in the world!! So you can see why Mom is deling with some confusion. We made Mom feel lots better when she came home early and we all cuddled with her all night. OH! Dad took Mom and Aunt Gillian to a restaurant to eat so nobody had to make dinner and guess what! Mom brought us back some french fries for taking care of her afterwork! She said the hamburger was way too yummy to not eat herself, but that's okay, she needed that to keep up her strength anyway. The french fries were very yummy and enough for us. Some of them even had ketchup on them!!! Mom said she's going to work until her boss annoys her too much today. I think she should have taken me with her to scare the mean people away, but I have to stay and guard the house.
Anyway, if you have anymore ideas on my table situation, let me know. Thanks!!

Christmas Lights In Snow
This is a lamp post. In the day, you can see a big red bow and red tinsel wrapped around it and at night there's red and white lights. Mom loves the lamp post.
These are little snowmen along the pathway to the street. They looked pretty funny out there without the snow, now they're happy little snowmen. Mom noticed this year that she has a thing for snowmen. Grandma watched a show that said you should have a theme to your Christmas decorations and Mom and Grandma agreed that was silly. Then when Mom and Dad were putting the ornaments on the tree they noticed there were a lot of snowmen ornaments, then as they unpacked other stuff they noticed Mom has been collecting snowman stuff for a long time! That snowman she won at the Christmas party the other night fits right it.
It's really cold today so I'm going back to my blanket on the couch. Mom got stuck trying to get out of the driveway this morning so hopefully she'll make it in the driveway for lunch so Sasha and I can go outside. Sasha and I both agreed it was too cold to go out before Mom left for work this morning. It was so cold this morning Gunnar was up on the bed with us instead of off doing his indepedent stuff. When it's cold out, Gunnar is a big cuddle kitty.
Stay warm every pup!

Snow!
There is a problem with this snow though. It's the same problem I have every time it snows. I can't find my toys. I know they're out there and Mom always tells me I should leave them on the porch, but I always forget. So they're out there somewhere. A lady that works with my Mom was telling her about a place she lived where they always had a lot of snow in big huge drifts. They had a backetball hoop in their back yard and if the ball went over the hoop and landed in the snowbank, they had to wait until Spring to find their balls. They thought it was hilarious when Spring came along and there were like 20 balls behind the hoop. If I had been there, I would have gone in for them! I love burrowing through the snow! Sasha likes burrowing through the blankets when it gets this cold. Mom added another blanket to Sasha's bed to try to get her to stay in her own bed at night. She gets cold and either gets in bed with Mom and Dad or with me and then we don't sleep well. So far the extra blanket is working great and Mom wishes she had figured that out years ago. (Sasha just turned 5 - Mom's a little slow with obvious stuff sometimes.) We're all sleeping much better now.
I'm going to go find a nice warm blanket to curl up in now. Mom has blankets everywhere this time of year. It's great! Hope all you dogs that have snow are having fun and staying warm. If you're in the area with all those icestorms, be very careful! We had a small one last week and I slid across the porch. Luckily the only thing hurt was my pride. Stuff like that is very dangeous.

PUPPIES
Out of 7 puppies, this guy is the only boy!!!
Here is Mommy Bailey with her babies. Aunt Gillian says she's a really good mommy. When she needs to go outside she lets her Mom know and then Bailey will get out of the kennel and stand outside the kennel until Aunt Gillian locks the kennel door - not just shuts the door, it has to be locked. And then she goes outside and gets a drink and a bite to eat and then goes back to her babies. Aunt Gillian also said that anytime my cousin Bodee or the cats come around the kennel, Bailey growls at them until they go away. She only lets Aunt Gillian touch the puppies and even when Aunt Gillian has one, she's keeping a very close eye on her. Aren't they cute?
Mom got her camera working so I have pictures to show you of me on my adventure, but that can wait. Today is all about my cousin Bailey and her puppies.

Letter To Santa
Mom and Dad are taking off work tomorrow to spend the entire day with me. Mom says she has to use her last vacation day before December 1st so she chose to take it Noember 30th. She's a procrastinator. She waits until the last minute to do things a lot. But that's okay because she'll be home with ME! That means I won't be posting tomorrow so every dog have a great weekend!
Here's my letter to Santa:
Dear Santa,
I hope you had a great year. I will be sure to save you a couple of Mom's cookies that she is going to make with my help cuz I know how much you love them.
First, I would like to ask you to give Schmakos to all the DWB dogs. Some of them have never had them before and that is just so wrong! The commercial says "dogs go wacko for Schmakos" and OH BOY do I!!! The bacon and the marrow ones are my favorite, but the others are pretty good, too so whatever flavors you can come up with for everydog is perfect.
Next I would like to ask you to get something very sepcial for my Mom and Dad. Mom had a rough year with having her gallbladder out and then everything going on with her mother and friends. Mom was so sick before her surgery and should have felt better afterwards, but then people started making her sad and that makes me very sad. I cuddle and snuggle with her a lot to show her how loved she is, but I know she is still sad inside. Dad takes very good care of all of us so he deserves something nice, too. I love my parents very much. I know I'm safe here and I know that if they decide to move, they'll take me with them. I've been with them for a little over 2 years now and it's been the bestest 2 years of my life. I only get yelled out when I'm in BIG trouble and I can't remember the last time I was hit. I get to go on adventures instead of being left at home and I gets TONS of love.
There's really nothing I need this year. I have a nice warm and comfy bed to sleep on, lots of yummy treats and food and LOTS of toys. What I would really like is some grass to roll and play in. That's something Mom and Dad want ,too. You could bring me a new bone like you do every year, too. The onld one is fine, I still use it because they're so great and I know you put a lot of thought into them, but there isn't much taste to it anymore and pieces are starting to break off and Mom is worried about me choking on a piece or it making me sick.
I have one more thing to ask for. It's not for me, it's for all those dogs out there that don't have a wonderful home like I do. Before I came to live with my Mom and Dad I didn't know how it felt to feel true love. My Mom and Dad love me so much that I have almost totally forgotten about my old life. I'm getting lots better when people in uniforms come around and the only men I'm afraid of are African American men (I'm working really hard on that one though. I don't act like I'm going to kill the neighbor's brother anymore as long as he stays away from me and my family). I was lucky that my old family took me to a rescue place and I'm even more lucky that a few days later my Mom and Dad drove 45 minutes to just check out that shelter. I wasn't there long enough to really even remember much about it, but I know they were nice to me and nice to Mom and Dad. Not all dogs are as lucky as me though. Could you make sure lots of dogs that aren't as lucky as me get to find really good homes. I now know that there are lots of loving families out there and every dog deserves to know what real love feels like. It's the bestest feeling in the world!
Thanks a lot Santa! Have a safe trip and a Merry Christmas!
Love
Lady Kaos
PS I just thought of another thing. Could you get us a bathroom trash can with a lid so Sasha will stop dragging the bathroom trash out all over. It grosses Mom out and it's kind of embarassing if company comes over. Thanks a bunch!

On Guard
Last night some mean people called and cussed Dad out. I knew right away I needed to go into protection mode, especially when Dad wasn't in the same room as Mom. I stayed close to Mom all night to make sure she was okay. I woofed at any little noise to make sure they knew to stay away. Dad and I are going to have to find a new place to go hunting, but that's okay. I'm not going to let those people treat my Mom bad anymore! They aren't allowed in my house anymore and that's not because of Dad's rule, it's because of MY rule!
Mom got some stuff done for our online store and it's for dogs! I'll hopefully be posting pictures of them soon so you guys can see how cool they are. Since Mom doesn't hang out with Aunt Cassie (this will be the last time I call her that), she has lots of spare time to work on her arts and crafts stuff. She's been doing a lot of cross stitch lately. Right now she's working on gifts, but pretty soon she's going to start getting stuff ready to sell. If any of you know where Mom can sell her cross stitch stuff, let me know. I'm going to use my blog to help her promote her stuff. She found a really cool website that is an online craft show. The next show is in January so she's going to get stuff she's already done and some new stuff together to sell at that. She's really excited about that and she's also going to set her art website up to sell them there. I'm hoping she starts making enough from there so she can quit her job and take care of me all day. I love when she stays home with us all day. I know a lot of you out there have crafty parents so if you have any advice for my Mom, I'll happily pass it on to her.
I better go check on the boxer in the alley again. Now he wants to know what time of day the alley has the most cars to bark out. I have no idea! I spend a lot of time inside because my Mom needs my help cleaning and baking and she also needs protected. So weird!

Christmas Is Coming!
Mom and Dad went to the store on Saturday and came back with some bad stuff. There's a little Santa hat for Sasha ( Mom has to put strings on it to hold it on Sasha's head) and there was a pait of reindeer antlers for me. I really don't like them at all. Mom's camera is still havig issues so we practiced posing for the Christmas letter photos. I haven't decided if I want her to hurry up and figure the camera thing out. I'm tired of practicing for the real thing, but I also don't want everybody they send cards to to see how ridiculous I look with reindeer antlers on. Wearing the antlers makes Mom smile though so I guess I'm okay with wearing them.
I'm also working on my letter for Santa. I saw yesterday that the Brat Pack is doing a Santa letter contest and even has a special blog set up for it. I have to get my letter done for their deadline. That way Santa will be sure to read it in time. I think it was very clever of the Brat Pack to make it very convenient for Santa to read all of our letters by putting them all in one place. You guys are all so smart!!
I hear the boxer across the alley barking again so I better go check out what's going on. He just moved in not long ago and I've been helping him adjust to the new neighborhood. He barks at me a lot so I bark back. He lives where the bad lab used to live. I'm glad I don't have to worry about that bad lab jumping fences again, but this boxer needs a lot of barking at. He has so many questions about our neighborhood and the alley between our houses and I'm trying to help him out but who in the world knows the squirel to dog ratio in the alley? I don't really know how many dogs are in the alley or how many squirrels there are, plus why would he want to know that? He's a weird one.
I'm going to see if Mom will get the pictures off her camera tomorrow from my adventure that seems like a really long time ago. I think she's able to do that much with her camera. Poor Mom, I didn't know she could breathe without that camera attached to her all the time.
OH, one more thing. I think I'm caught up on eerybody's blogs. I haven't checked into the DWB website yet though so if there's anything exciting I need to know about right away.

Thanksgiving
Anyway, yesterday was Thanksgiving and I have decided Thanksgiving is my most favorite holiday ever!!! We spent all day at Grandma's house!! It was great!!! Then they made some food and we got some turkey!! It was very very yummy. THEN they started eating pie and Mom put whipped cream on our noses! I LOVE Whipped Cream Noses!!! Sasha and I played all day long. Grandma realized why Mom says it is illegal to buy is squeek toys. Grandma said she's going to buy some quiet toys for days we're there all day like that. It was so much fun! Finally I couldn't move anymore so Sasha and I plopped in the middle of the floor for a quick nap. Mom's batteries in her camera all died, not because she didn't charge them, because she wore them out! She's recharged those batteries so much they no longer work. She said the same thing happened to her batteries at work and they were about the same age as her camera at home. Mom is hard on cmera batteries! When we came home, Sasha went and curled up in my new bed and I curled up on the couch with Mom and Dad. Aunt Gillian came by for leftovers and we got some more turkey and then we went back to sleep. When it was finally time for bed, I didn't warm up Mom's spot first like I always do, I went straight to my bed and when Dad took the trash out, I made him go by himself. I felt bad, but he understood. Sasha and I have been sleeping all day. Gunnar didn't go to Grandma's yesterday and I seriously think he needs to rethink his feelings about going on car rides. Grandma's house has fun toys, a HUGE yard with grass and there's yummy food there, too. I LOVE Grandma's house!!!!
I'm going to go take another nap now. I promise I'll have some cool pictures of that adventure on soon and I'm going to be posting more now, too. I have some other cool stuff to share with all of you, too! I'm going to be working on getting caught up on everybody's blogs, too. If there is anything really important or exciting I should know about, post a comment to let me know. I've missed all of you A LOT!!!
Have a great weekend everybody! I'm going to help Mom and Dad put the Christmas decorations up and probably do a lot more sleeping.

Happy Birthday Sasha, Mom & Grandma!
Yesterday was Sasha's 5th birthday, Today is Mom's birthday and tomorrow is Grandma's birthday! (Mom and Grandma would kill me if I told you how old they are, Sasha isn't too happy with it, but Mom keeps making a big deal about it so I decided it was okay to tell you her age.) So Happy Birthday to all of them! I love you all very much! I'll hopefully have the pictures soon and I should hopefully be posting more soon. I've been really busy taking care of Mom. It's hard work taking care of her, but I'm the best at it so it's up to me to take care of her.
Talk to everybody soon and hopefully I'll get caught up on everybody else! A special hi and I miss you to my sister Dory and my handsome boyfriend Flash!

I'm Going On An Adventure Tomorrow
I've been trying to figure out my mysery trip tomorrow. I can't figure it out! I have some clues, but they don't help. I know we're taking my Jeep and my Aunt Gillian is coming in her truck, I know we're packing a lunch but we should be home a little after lunch, I know Dad hs to pack some special tools tonight and I know that when Grandma gets off work tomorrow she's stopping by to pick up Sasha to go to her house for awhile. I also know that we're leaving between 8:00 and 9:00 in the morning and Mom has all her batteries for her camera charged. I have no idea. These cluues could mean lots of different things. Anybody got any ideas? Mom told Aunt Gillian not to tell me where we're going. Mom also told her not to bring my cousins and Aunt Gillian said no way because she'd never catch Bodee and Bailey would be afraid. I'm guessing I get to run free and there's loud noises. If any of you have any guess, let me know. I've been trying to figure it out all week and I'm coming up with not a thing.
Have a great weekend everybody! Mom says I'm going to!

I Love Fall
I'm going on an adventure on Saturday and nobody will tell me what it is. I know we're taking my Jeep WOOHOOO!! and Mom said Bear Bait has to stay home (that means Sasha has to stay home because it's something fun but she wouldn't like it and she'd get really whiney and drive Mom crazy). I also know there's others invited and I know we're taking lunch but I don't know where we're going. I know it's not camping because it's too cold for that now and there's nothing sitting out getting ready for that. I know we're not going to Grandma & Grandpa Cheese's house becuase Sasha is staying home and I know it's just a one day thing because there's nothing being packed. I'm so excited!! Mom said she needs to make sure that her batteries are working in her camera so there should be pictures for you to see whenever I get all rested up from my adventure. Dad has pretty much all the bugs worked out of my Jeep and I'm so happy! I can't wait to share pictures of me and my Jeep! There's going to be a lot of you that are going to be really jealous of me and my Jeep. The gas people need to stop being so mean so that Mom and Dad can afford to take my Jeep more places with me. My Jeep takes a lot of Gas to run but it's REALLY powerful and REALLY cool!
Dad should be home really soon so I better go listen for my Jeep. I've been letting Dad take my Jeep to work since his truck needs worked on next.

Question From Mom
Here's my questions. Do any of you dogs, or if your parents would like to answer this that would probably be a good idea, anyway, do any of you dogs do weird human like things that surprise your parents? Kaso and Sasha and even Gunnar do things all that time that amaze me. I know they understand so much more than they are given credit for. This has been sort of an emotional week for me and Kaos has been right by my side with all of her wonderful hugs and Sasha offers to clean my face whenever possible. Kaos is always right there by me when I'm not feeling good and knows the reason she gets to go in the front yard off leash and not Sasha is because she listens and is a good girl. Here's what happened. The other morning was kind of chilly and everybody knows once the alarm clocks start going off they can come get in the bed with us. It makes it really hard to get up in the morning because it's all cozy and comfy. Well, the other morning the alarms went off and Kaos got up on the bed and curled up with me and Gunnar got up on top of us and Sasha came up, too. We were all nice and toasty and then Kaos's Dad had to get up to get ready for work. Everybody went to eat breakfast and go outside and then usually Kaos and Sasha come back to cuddle with me. Kaos came back, but Sasha went to Kaos's bed which sometimes happens. When I got up to get ready for work, Sasha's blanket that she sleeps with everynight was in Kaos's bed made into one of Sasha's famous nests. Sasha's bed is on my side of the bed and Kaos's is on her dad's side so it's not like she just sccoted it over, she had to drag it over. Of course since she's a miniature dacshund the blanket it about 4 times her size. Their Dad said the blanket wasn't there when he
I also have one about Kaos, too. In the morning, when I get up to go take a shower Kaos and Sasha get in my bed so when I come through I can pet them and tell them how silly they are. When I move into the livingroom, Kaos comes with me and either lays on the couch or on the floor in the path to the front door. When I go to leave I tell her to be a very good girl, I love her and I'll see her at lunch or after work depending what's going on that day. I started noticing it last week and decided to be sure to pay attention every day and sure enough, it happens EVERY day. After I go through my goodbye speach and rub the top of her head, she always gives me a nod. Kind of like this nods that guys give to other guys to substitute for a wave.
Does anybody else notice these litttle funny things about their babies? I laugh when I hear studies done about how dogs and cats don't understand and are stupid. The latest one I heard was that cats only have a 3 minute memory. I can guarantee that Gunnar has way more than 3 minutes of memory. He pretends to have only 30 seconds sometimes, but I know better. Kaos's Grandma read a study about how dogs start on a daily routine and they don't understand the different days of the week thing. I know this is wrong, too because Kaos knows when the weekend is and she understands if her Dad leaves early, he's home at 5:00 and if he leaves late, he's home at 7:00. She knows exactly the time he should pull in the driveway and she knows if he drives a Jeep to work to watch for him at the front door and if he rides his bike, to watch the back door.
If any of you have stories that amaze you about how wrong all those studies are, we'd love to hear them.
Have a great weekend everybody and hopefully Kaos will be done pouting by Monday.

It's Almost Done!!!
Mom is doing some cleaning. It's driving me crazy because she's dusting places that haven't been dusted in a long time. I sneeze a lot and I have to protect everybody from the vacuum monster. She's finally done with the living room and is going to start the dining room. Lukcily the dining room has less dust. When she does her bedroom, I'm going to hide. That room hasn't been dusted since they've adopted me 2 years ago! There is a book shelf in the living room that hadn't been moved since it was put there 3 years ago. Mom was trying to clean cobwebs out and figured out it was a spider breeding ground so she cleaned it off and moved it to get behind it. Sasha, Gunnar and I had to help because there were so many spiders that tried to get away. We were chasing spiders all night! Mom realized why we have no flies or nats in the house. It's because they're all wrapped up in spider webs. I think most of the spiders are gone now, but we find one once in awhile and have to take care of them for Mom. She's not afraid of them, she's just busy stirring up the dust.
There's also ghosts in my house. Once in awhile I'll be sitting there minding my own business and there will be this squeek noise behind me and I'll turn around really fast and nothing will be there. There's usually a funny smell though. Mom says I must be eating something out in the yard, but I don't know what she means. According to her, me eating things that make gassie stuff in my tummy causes the ghost to squeek and stink. I don't understand it, but she's the one with the college degree.
I'm going to go see if Dad needs my help now. He keeps saying I can't be around for this part because he doesn't want stuff to fall on me, but I'm always ready in case he gets to a spot where he needs me. I CAN'T WAIT!!!

Guard Dog Duty
I'm going to go take a nap on the couch now. I didn't sleep well because I was paranoid about every little sound after that.
Oh yeah! Guess what this is my 200th post! WOOHOO!!

Bed Puker Victims
On Saturday, Mom and I were the victims of the bed puker. It was very disturbing and disgusting. Mom went into the bedroom after she got home from having lunch with Dad to get the laundry sorted to wash it and noticed a big puke spot on her side of the bed. Mom was not happy and wasn't planning on washing sheets. She pulled them off and pulled the matress cover off and wshed the light colored clothes first (that way the matress pad was done before the sheets since it goes on first - isn't she so smart?) then when she went to get the sheets and the dark clothes she stepped on my bed and found out I was a victim, too. Mom narrowed it down to Gunnar or Sasha since I don't spend much time in the bedroom unless there's someone in there to snuggle with. So we all tried to figure out who it was. Mom said that was the first time you couldn't tell who it was by the look of it. (I think she meant my the food.) So we all went to bed that night on clean sheets and bed cover and then 4 am Sunday morning we learned who the bed puker was. It was Sasha! Of course she stepped out of her bed. Mom and I gave her a hard time the next day for stepping out of her bed. She tried to make the point that she tried onthe other's, too but didn't make it because the beds are harder to get out of. Whatever! I slept horrible that night because I couldn't get comfy and the bed smelled......clean. Yuck! All the pillow fluffy had shifted when Mom and Dad put the cover back on my bed and I just couldn't get it to where it was supposed to and then that terrible clean smell kept me awake, too! And you know what! Sasha never had to have her bed washed. I think as a punishment, Mom should have washed her bed and all of those blankets she sleeps with. Instead, she only had to have one blanket washed and it's not even a blanket she uses very often!
That was it for the excitment. I do have pictures of a wonderful gift from Grandma, but I have to wait for Mom to get them off her camera and something happened at work yesterday and she freaked out BIG time and so she didn't get the pictures off the card. It took her today to fix the problem, too so they're still on the memory card and not on my blog. Hopefully tomorrow!
It's almost time for the highschoolers to get out so I better go get ready to yell at them to stay out of my yard.

My Weekend
I found out Grandma and Grandpa Cheese were in town and they didn't come visit me! Can you believe that? I know I can't! Grandma brought toys to us on Saturday and I wanted to show Grandma and Grandpa Cheese my new toys and my new awesome collar, but nooooooooo, they were busy! Mom said she told them about my toys and new collar though and they said they were very happy for me. Not the same! I can't wait until it's time to go visit them! THEN! Guess what Mom did! She went to a dog show on Sunday! Why in the world would you go to a dog show and not take a dog? Mom's weird that way I guess. It was at the state fair and it was Aunt Cassie's nephew's 4-H project. Mom smelled like so many dogs it took Sasha and I almost an hour to sniff her down. She also had lots of food smells that were on top of the dog smells. Mom said it was fun at first, but then got reallyboring (DUH I could have told her that jus tbby the name! It was a dog show! A show for dogs!!!!). She said it was cool seeing all the different types of dogs there, but the people organizing it were very unorganized and they spent 4 hours waiting for the awards ceremony that they said would be at 1:00. Mom was really tired when she got home. She said that she was amazed at seeing how all the dogs were behaving. She said she was glad we weren't show dogs even though those dogs were really good and very well behaved, she likes our craziness and unpredictability better. Not sure what that means, but my Mom's weird so I'm sure it's a good thing.
The kids across the street are doing weird things again so I have to go bark at them through the picture window some more. I have to do this every day there's school. Mom says I get Monday off, too. I think Mom and I will have to have one of our "cuddle and sleep in while Dad works on the Jeep" mornings on Monday.

What's Wrong With This Picture
Okay, so her's the picture. Can you tell what's wrong with it?
Here's some clues as to what the answer isn't. It isn't I'm not wearing my cool new collar that I love a BUNCH (you should have seen how upset I was when Mom took it off for my bath and didn't put it on until the next morning!). The answer isn't that there's a bench seat in the living room. The answer isn't that there's a big nasty spot in the seat.
Ready for the answer?
Here it is: The thing that is wrong with this picture is.....GUNNAR IS SITTING ON TOP OF THE FRONT SEAT OF MY BIG JEEP!!! What is up with the cat sitting on a seta frrom a vehicle! He hates car rides and he's sitting on the seat that belongs in MY Jeep. See me giving him dirty looks? In case your're wondering what he's looking at, it's the ceiling fan. I do the same thing. There's an airconditioner vent right above the ceiling fan in the living room and it makes a really nice place to stand (or sleep) when you're hot .
This is what the picture should look like:
