Letter To Santa

Here's my antler picture. Mom had to use her old camera because she forgot the batteries she was going to borrow from work. All the practicing didn't work. As soon as the camera came out I started flicking the antlers off and being chaotic so I wouldn't get caught in them, but then they were sneaky and they brought out the bacon Schmakos. You can see I'm nowhere near the Christmas tree and I'm totally not looking at Mom and the camera, Dad had the Schmakos so Dad got my full attention. Mom says she'll try again. I say good luck with that. I'll show you pictures of Sasha and Gunnar next week. Even though I'm not looking at the camera, my picture is lots better than Sasha's. Mom says Gunnar did the best. That was just luck though. He was trying not to get stepped on, it had nothing to do with being a good boy. I will admit that this is a terrific shot of my awesome collar from my sister Dory!
Mom and Dad are taking off work tomorrow to spend the entire day with me. Mom says she has to use her last vacation day before December 1st so she chose to take it Noember 30th. She's a procrastinator. She waits until the last minute to do things a lot. But that's okay because she'll be home with ME! That means I won't be posting tomorrow so every dog have a great weekend!
Here's my letter to Santa:

Dear Santa,
I hope you had a great year. I will be sure to save you a couple of Mom's cookies that she is going to make with my help cuz I know how much you love them.
First, I would like to ask you to give Schmakos to all the DWB dogs. Some of them have never had them before and that is just so wrong! The commercial says "dogs go wacko for Schmakos" and OH BOY do I!!! The bacon and the marrow ones are my favorite, but the others are pretty good, too so whatever flavors you can come up with for everydog is perfect.
Next I would like to ask you to get something very sepcial for my Mom and Dad. Mom had a rough year with having her gallbladder out and then everything going on with her mother and friends. Mom was so sick before her surgery and should have felt better afterwards, but then people started making her sad and that makes me very sad. I cuddle and snuggle with her a lot to show her how loved she is, but I know she is still sad inside. Dad takes very good care of all of us so he deserves something nice, too. I love my parents very much. I know I'm safe here and I know that if they decide to move, they'll take me with them. I've been with them for a little over 2 years now and it's been the bestest 2 years of my life. I only get yelled out when I'm in BIG trouble and I can't remember the last time I was hit. I get to go on adventures instead of being left at home and I gets TONS of love.
There's really nothing I need this year. I have a nice warm and comfy bed to sleep on, lots of yummy treats and food and LOTS of toys. What I would really like is some grass to roll and play in. That's something Mom and Dad want ,too. You could bring me a new bone like you do every year, too. The onld one is fine, I still use it because they're so great and I know you put a lot of thought into them, but there isn't much taste to it anymore and pieces are starting to break off and Mom is worried about me choking on a piece or it making me sick.
I have one more thing to ask for. It's not for me, it's for all those dogs out there that don't have a wonderful home like I do. Before I came to live with my Mom and Dad I didn't know how it felt to feel true love. My Mom and Dad love me so much that I have almost totally forgotten about my old life. I'm getting lots better when people in uniforms come around and the only men I'm afraid of are African American men (I'm working really hard on that one though. I don't act like I'm going to kill the neighbor's brother anymore as long as he stays away from me and my family). I was lucky that my old family took me to a rescue place and I'm even more lucky that a few days later my Mom and Dad drove 45 minutes to just check out that shelter. I wasn't there long enough to really even remember much about it, but I know they were nice to me and nice to Mom and Dad. Not all dogs are as lucky as me though. Could you make sure lots of dogs that aren't as lucky as me get to find really good homes. I now know that there are lots of loving families out there and every dog deserves to know what real love feels like. It's the bestest feeling in the world!
Thanks a lot Santa! Have a safe trip and a Merry Christmas!
Love
Lady Kaos
PS I just thought of another thing. Could you get us a bathroom trash can with a lid so Sasha will stop dragging the bathroom trash out all over. It grosses Mom out and it's kind of embarassing if company comes over. Thanks a bunch!

Wheelin' Mutt

Today is dedicated to promoting my Mom and Dad's Wheelin' Website. There is a bunch of cool stuff for people that like rock crawling and 4-wheeling and now there's stuff for us dogs that like to go, too. The human stuff is called "Wheelin' Nut" and the dog stuff is called "Wheelin' Mutt." My Mom is so clever for coming up with Wheelin' Mutt. These are the items for sale for Wheelin' Mutts. Click on any of the pictures and they'll take you to the Wheelin' Mutt section of the website. There's also some of my Mom's art stuff on that site. The Wheelin' stuff is more popular though. I'm hoping Wheelin' Mutt is popular, too since I was the inspiration for it.

I think tonight my Mom is going to borrow camera batteries from work and we're going to work on our Christmas pictures. I have to get my letter to Santa in tomorrow since I won't be able to post on Friday (Mom and Dad are taking the day off to spend with me!!). Plus, Mom wants to get the Chrstmas letter sent out pretty soon so she can focus on making cookies and pies and snack stuff for Christmas. I love helping Mom make Christmas cookies because she's a slob. We have a system worked out so that she doen't trip over me while I'm cleaning up her mess on the floor. Our kitchen is really tiny so there's not much room to move around in and if you're not careful, you get tripped over a lot. Mom is pretty good about not stepping on me while I'm helping, but Dad always steps on me while he's cooking. Mom says she learned to cook with dogs running around the kitchen so she's used to it. She said at the mean lady's house she had to work around a St. Bernard!!! Ther's no way a St. Bernard would fit in our kitchen!
Mom grounded Sasha today and maybe for tomorrow and Friday, too. Sasha gets into the bathroom trash and she usually leaves it in the bathroom, but today she drug it out into the living room. I told her not to do it, but she thinks because she's older, she doesn't have to listen to me. I'm totally smarter though. When Mom walked in at lunch time there was kleenex all over the living room. Mom got totally grossed out and knew exactly who did it. I used to take the blame for everything no matter if it was my fault or not. When Mom walks in and I lay my ears down and curl my tail between my legs, she knows I'm guilty for something. Sasha went to hide and I did lay my ears down or tuck my tail so she knew it was Sasha, plus she's seen Sasha get in the bathroom trash before. I prefer the kitchen trash. If I'm going to get in trouble for getting in the trash, I make sure it tastes good! Bathroom trash is yucky!!! So she's grounded until Mom decides she's not anymore. Mom caves so easily though, so Sasha isn't too worried about spending too much time kenneled up.
I'm going to go take a nap now. The boxer across the alley has been quiet today and hasn't been outside when I've been outside which has been really nice. He asks such stupid questions!! Wish me luck tonight!!

On Guard

First I just wanted to let you know Mom's sign says there's 27 days until Christmas!!! Mom sewed strings on Sasha's Santa hat last night and Sasha tried it on and it fits perfectly so it looks liek the pictures will be happening soon. I'm ready to get them over with. Mom has to use her old slow camera because her good one has battery issues still (she's very sad about it).
Last night some mean people called and cussed Dad out. I knew right away I needed to go into protection mode, especially when Dad wasn't in the same room as Mom. I stayed close to Mom all night to make sure she was okay. I woofed at any little noise to make sure they knew to stay away. Dad and I are going to have to find a new place to go hunting, but that's okay. I'm not going to let those people treat my Mom bad anymore! They aren't allowed in my house anymore and that's not because of Dad's rule, it's because of MY rule!
Mom got some stuff done for our online store and it's for dogs! I'll hopefully be posting pictures of them soon so you guys can see how cool they are. Since Mom doesn't hang out with Aunt Cassie (this will be the last time I call her that), she has lots of spare time to work on her arts and crafts stuff. She's been doing a lot of cross stitch lately. Right now she's working on gifts, but pretty soon she's going to start getting stuff ready to sell. If any of you know where Mom can sell her cross stitch stuff, let me know. I'm going to use my blog to help her promote her stuff. She found a really cool website that is an online craft show. The next show is in January so she's going to get stuff she's already done and some new stuff together to sell at that. She's really excited about that and she's also going to set her art website up to sell them there. I'm hoping she starts making enough from there so she can quit her job and take care of me all day. I love when she stays home with us all day. I know a lot of you out there have crafty parents so if you have any advice for my Mom, I'll happily pass it on to her.
I better go check on the boxer in the alley again. Now he wants to know what time of day the alley has the most cars to bark out. I have no idea! I spend a lot of time inside because my Mom needs my help cleaning and baking and she also needs protected. So weird!

Christmas Is Coming!

Mom has this really cool sign that says how many days until Christmas it is and guess what!! There's 28 days unil Christmas!! This weekend we put up our tree and other decoratoins and yesterday Mom and Dad put the decorations outside. They wouldn't lt me help with that part though because they thought I would get in trouble or something. We all know I wouldn't do that!!
Mom and Dad went to the store on Saturday and came back with some bad stuff. There's a little Santa hat for Sasha ( Mom has to put strings on it to hold it on Sasha's head) and there was a pait of reindeer antlers for me. I really don't like them at all. Mom's camera is still havig issues so we practiced posing for the Christmas letter photos. I haven't decided if I want her to hurry up and figure the camera thing out. I'm tired of practicing for the real thing, but I also don't want everybody they send cards to to see how ridiculous I look with reindeer antlers on. Wearing the antlers makes Mom smile though so I guess I'm okay with wearing them.
I'm also working on my letter for Santa. I saw yesterday that the Brat Pack is doing a Santa letter contest and even has a special blog set up for it. I have to get my letter done for their deadline. That way Santa will be sure to read it in time. I think it was very clever of the Brat Pack to make it very convenient for Santa to read all of our letters by putting them all in one place. You guys are all so smart!!
I hear the boxer across the alley barking again so I better go check out what's going on. He just moved in not long ago and I've been helping him adjust to the new neighborhood. He barks at me a lot so I bark back. He lives where the bad lab used to live. I'm glad I don't have to worry about that bad lab jumping fences again, but this boxer needs a lot of barking at. He has so many questions about our neighborhood and the alley between our houses and I'm trying to help him out but who in the world knows the squirel to dog ratio in the alley? I don't really know how many dogs are in the alley or how many squirrels there are, plus why would he want to know that? He's a weird one.
I'm going to see if Mom will get the pictures off her camera tomorrow from my adventure that seems like a really long time ago. I think she's able to do that much with her camera. Poor Mom, I didn't know she could breathe without that camera attached to her all the time.
OH, one more thing. I think I'm caught up on eerybody's blogs. I haven't checked into the DWB website yet though so if there's anything exciting I need to know about right away.

Thanksgiving

Hey everybody! I'm back!!! I think. I've been REALLY busy. Mom has been going through some stuff with the mean lady that she used to call mom and with Aunt Cassie. Let's just say they're both mean to Mom and I'm not going to let either of them near my Mom ever again. This could mean no more pheasant hunting trips to Grandma and Grandpa Cheese's though, but I'm wiling to give those up if it's not good for Mom.
Anyway, yesterday was Thanksgiving and I have decided Thanksgiving is my most favorite holiday ever!!! We spent all day at Grandma's house!! It was great!!! Then they made some food and we got some turkey!! It was very very yummy. THEN they started eating pie and Mom put whipped cream on our noses! I LOVE Whipped Cream Noses!!! Sasha and I played all day long. Grandma realized why Mom says it is illegal to buy is squeek toys. Grandma said she's going to buy some quiet toys for days we're there all day like that. It was so much fun! Finally I couldn't move anymore so Sasha and I plopped in the middle of the floor for a quick nap. Mom's batteries in her camera all died, not because she didn't charge them, because she wore them out! She's recharged those batteries so much they no longer work. She said the same thing happened to her batteries at work and they were about the same age as her camera at home. Mom is hard on cmera batteries! When we came home, Sasha went and curled up in my new bed and I curled up on the couch with Mom and Dad. Aunt Gillian came by for leftovers and we got some more turkey and then we went back to sleep. When it was finally time for bed, I didn't warm up Mom's spot first like I always do, I went straight to my bed and when Dad took the trash out, I made him go by himself. I felt bad, but he understood. Sasha and I have been sleeping all day. Gunnar didn't go to Grandma's yesterday and I seriously think he needs to rethink his feelings about going on car rides. Grandma's house has fun toys, a HUGE yard with grass and there's yummy food there, too. I LOVE Grandma's house!!!!
I'm going to go take another nap now. I promise I'll have some cool pictures of that adventure on soon and I'm going to be posting more now, too. I have some other cool stuff to share with all of you, too! I'm going to be working on getting caught up on everybody's blogs, too. If there is anything really important or exciting I should know about, post a comment to let me know. I've missed all of you A LOT!!!
Have a great weekend everybody! I'm going to help Mom and Dad put the Christmas decorations up and probably do a lot more sleeping.

Happy Birthday Sasha, Mom & Grandma!

Sorry I haven't been around. I have some really cool pictures of me on that adventure, but Mom is going through some ruff stuff right now so I haven't been bugging her about getting the pictures off the camera. Hopefully I'll ahve them for you soon because it was a great day!
Yesterday was Sasha's 5th birthday, Today is Mom's birthday and tomorrow is Grandma's birthday! (Mom and Grandma would kill me if I told you how old they are, Sasha isn't too happy with it, but Mom keeps making a big deal about it so I decided it was okay to tell you her age.) So Happy Birthday to all of them! I love you all very much! I'll hopefully have the pictures soon and I should hopefully be posting more soon. I've been really busy taking care of Mom. It's hard work taking care of her, but I'm the best at it so it's up to me to take care of her.
Talk to everybody soon and hopefully I'll get caught up on everybody else! A special hi and I miss you to my sister Dory and my handsome boyfriend Flash!

I'm Going On An Adventure Tomorrow

I have been really bad at keeping up on everybody. I am really sorry if I've missed anything!!!!
I've been trying to figure out my mysery trip tomorrow. I can't figure it out! I have some clues, but they don't help. I know we're taking my Jeep and my Aunt Gillian is coming in her truck, I know we're packing a lunch but we should be home a little after lunch, I know Dad hs to pack some special tools tonight and I know that when Grandma gets off work tomorrow she's stopping by to pick up Sasha to go to her house for awhile. I also know that we're leaving between 8:00 and 9:00 in the morning and Mom has all her batteries for her camera charged. I have no idea. These cluues could mean lots of different things. Anybody got any ideas? Mom told Aunt Gillian not to tell me where we're going. Mom also told her not to bring my cousins and Aunt Gillian said no way because she'd never catch Bodee and Bailey would be afraid. I'm guessing I get to run free and there's loud noises. If any of you have any guess, let me know. I've been trying to figure it out all week and I'm coming up with not a thing.
Have a great weekend everybody! Mom says I'm going to!

I Love Fall

The weather has been nice since Sunday which I guess was the first day of fall. I love fall because we can go out and lay in the yar as long as we want and not roast or freeze. Mom actually forgot about us once on Sunday because we were outside for so long without asking to come in. We also spend a lot of time laying in the sun patch from the back door. It's not too hot to lay their either.
I'm going on an adventure on Saturday and nobody will tell me what it is. I know we're taking my Jeep WOOHOOO!! and Mom said Bear Bait has to stay home (that means Sasha has to stay home because it's something fun but she wouldn't like it and she'd get really whiney and drive Mom crazy). I also know there's others invited and I know we're taking lunch but I don't know where we're going. I know it's not camping because it's too cold for that now and there's nothing sitting out getting ready for that. I know we're not going to Grandma & Grandpa Cheese's house becuase Sasha is staying home and I know it's just a one day thing because there's nothing being packed. I'm so excited!! Mom said she needs to make sure that her batteries are working in her camera so there should be pictures for you to see whenever I get all rested up from my adventure. Dad has pretty much all the bugs worked out of my Jeep and I'm so happy! I can't wait to share pictures of me and my Jeep! There's going to be a lot of you that are going to be really jealous of me and my Jeep. The gas people need to stop being so mean so that Mom and Dad can afford to take my Jeep more places with me. My Jeep takes a lot of Gas to run but it's REALLY powerful and REALLY cool!
Dad should be home really soon so I better go listen for my Jeep. I've been letting Dad take my Jeep to work since his truck needs worked on next.

Question From Mom

Hello everybody. Kaos has been pouting all week because she only got to ride in "her" Jeep once during the weekend and I haven't taken pictures of her yet. Her dad is still doing some stuff to it and drives it to work everyday now so it's kind of hard to get a picture. Plus, he just washed the windows and he's kind of hoping to make in a week without any window art. Don't worry though. There's an adventure that will hopefully be happening soon.
Here's my questions. Do any of you dogs, or if your parents would like to answer this that would probably be a good idea, anyway, do any of you dogs do weird human like things that surprise your parents? Kaso and Sasha and even Gunnar do things all that time that amaze me. I know they understand so much more than they are given credit for. This has been sort of an emotional week for me and Kaos has been right by my side with all of her wonderful hugs and Sasha offers to clean my face whenever possible. Kaos is always right there by me when I'm not feeling good and knows the reason she gets to go in the front yard off leash and not Sasha is because she listens and is a good girl. Here's what happened. The other morning was kind of chilly and everybody knows once the alarm clocks start going off they can come get in the bed with us. It makes it really hard to get up in the morning because it's all cozy and comfy. Well, the other morning the alarms went off and Kaos got up on the bed and curled up with me and Gunnar got up on top of us and Sasha came up, too. We were all nice and toasty and then Kaos's Dad had to get up to get ready for work. Everybody went to eat breakfast and go outside and then usually Kaos and Sasha come back to cuddle with me. Kaos came back, but Sasha went to Kaos's bed which sometimes happens. When I got up to get ready for work, Sasha's blanket that she sleeps with everynight was in Kaos's bed made into one of Sasha's famous nests. Sasha's bed is on my side of the bed and Kaos's is on her dad's side so it's not like she just sccoted it over, she had to drag it over. Of course since she's a miniature dacshund the blanket it about 4 times her size. Their Dad said the blanket wasn't there when he
I also have one about Kaos, too. In the morning, when I get up to go take a shower Kaos and Sasha get in my bed so when I come through I can pet them and tell them how silly they are. When I move into the livingroom, Kaos comes with me and either lays on the couch or on the floor in the path to the front door. When I go to leave I tell her to be a very good girl, I love her and I'll see her at lunch or after work depending what's going on that day. I started noticing it last week and decided to be sure to pay attention every day and sure enough, it happens EVERY day. After I go through my goodbye speach and rub the top of her head, she always gives me a nod. Kind of like this nods that guys give to other guys to substitute for a wave.
Does anybody else notice these litttle funny things about their babies? I laugh when I hear studies done about how dogs and cats don't understand and are stupid. The latest one I heard was that cats only have a 3 minute memory. I can guarantee that Gunnar has way more than 3 minutes of memory. He pretends to have only 30 seconds sometimes, but I know better. Kaos's Grandma read a study about how dogs start on a daily routine and they don't understand the different days of the week thing. I know this is wrong, too because Kaos knows when the weekend is and she understands if her Dad leaves early, he's home at 5:00 and if he leaves late, he's home at 7:00. She knows exactly the time he should pull in the driveway and she knows if he drives a Jeep to work to watch for him at the front door and if he rides his bike, to watch the back door.
If any of you have stories that amaze you about how wrong all those studies are, we'd love to hear them.
Have a great weekend everybody and hopefully Kaos will be done pouting by Monday.
Hilary (Kaos's Mom)

My Tail Won't Stop Wagging!

Last night Dad got my Jeep to start and moved it around in the driveway a little bit and I got to sit in my seat while he was doing it and Mom couldn't find the memory chip to her camera and that's okay because I GOT TO RIDE IN MY JEEP!!! Dad still has to do a couple things before we can take it out of the driveay and then this weekend I'M GOING FOR A RIDE!!!!!! I CAN'T WAIT!!! After I helped Dad move it in the driveway, i had to go inside with Mom while Dad cleaned up the driveway. It drove me nuts! I was worried Dad was going to go somewhere in my Jeep without me and I whined and whined and whined and ignored Mom's threats to tie my tail around my nose if I didn't stop. Dad finally came inside and my tail wagged so fast my back legs had a hard time walking correctly. Mom calls that my happy wiggle. Mom also said she swore that she heard me wagging my tail in my sleep last night. I LOVE MY JEEP!!! I can't wait for this weekend!!!! Hopefully Mom will find her memory chip before then and I'll have some cool pictures to show you of me in MY Jeep. I CAN'T WAIT!!!
I need to go take another nap. I keep making myself exhausted from all the excitement!
Have a WONDERFUL weekend everybody!!!

It's Almost Done!!!

My Jeep is almost done!!!! I can't wait!! We won't get to go camping, but we can still go for rides and stuff. Dad said he's gotten a bunch done today and should have everything driveable by Sunday! I'm soooo excited!!! I'm sure he'll take me on the test ride once it's ready cuz he knows how badly I want to ride in my Jeep! Mom's been meaning to take pictures of my Jeep, but there's usually pieces and parts and told laying around it so I told her to wait until it doesn't look broken anymore. I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!
Mom is doing some cleaning. It's driving me crazy because she's dusting places that haven't been dusted in a long time. I sneeze a lot and I have to protect everybody from the vacuum monster. She's finally done with the living room and is going to start the dining room. Lukcily the dining room has less dust. When she does her bedroom, I'm going to hide. That room hasn't been dusted since they've adopted me 2 years ago! There is a book shelf in the living room that hadn't been moved since it was put there 3 years ago. Mom was trying to clean cobwebs out and figured out it was a spider breeding ground so she cleaned it off and moved it to get behind it. Sasha, Gunnar and I had to help because there were so many spiders that tried to get away. We were chasing spiders all night! Mom realized why we have no flies or nats in the house. It's because they're all wrapped up in spider webs. I think most of the spiders are gone now, but we find one once in awhile and have to take care of them for Mom. She's not afraid of them, she's just busy stirring up the dust.
There's also ghosts in my house. Once in awhile I'll be sitting there minding my own business and there will be this squeek noise behind me and I'll turn around really fast and nothing will be there. There's usually a funny smell though. Mom says I must be eating something out in the yard, but I don't know what she means. According to her, me eating things that make gassie stuff in my tummy causes the ghost to squeek and stink. I don't understand it, but she's the one with the college degree.
I'm going to go see if Dad needs my help now. He keeps saying I can't be around for this part because he doesn't want stuff to fall on me, but I'm always ready in case he gets to a spot where he needs me. I CAN'T WAIT!!!

Guard Dog Duty

I have to tell you all about my wonderful guard dog talent. Last night we went to bed and a little after 10:00 I heard someone at the front door and so I went to bark at them. I barked and barked and then the door opened and I barked louder and meaner and a woman came in and smiled at me and I got down in attach position cuz I wasn't going to let this woman get into my house any further. The AO4 would have been proud of me. I knew Mom and Dad would be there soon to back me up and make this woman leave because she was coming into MY house uninvited after we had gone to bed. Then all of a sudden I realized I knew the woman. IT WAS MOM!!!!! I forgot she went to hang out with Aunt Cassie for a girlie evening. Just from my normal nightly routine I forgot Mom wasn't home yet! I felt so guilty. Sasha knew who she was right away and started doing her I love you whine which is sort of why I all of a sudden realized I was going to attack my Mom! I felt so guilty! My tail tucked under, my ears layed back and I hung my head really low and told Mom I was really really really sorry. She laughed at me and said I was a good guard dog. I followed her all over the house while she got ready for bed. She wouldn't let me in the bathroom but she did open the door while she was taking her contacts out and taking her medicine. I made sure she got into bed safely and then this morning I got up relly early to cuddle with her to make sure she knew I still loved her. I can't believe it was Mom!!! Mom says it's okay beause she knows that she can depend on me if anybody ever tried to break in, but still....... IT WAS MOM!!!!!!
I'm going to go take a nap on the couch now. I didn't sleep well because I was paranoid about every little sound after that.
Oh yeah! Guess what this is my 200th post! WOOHOO!!

Bed Puker Victims

Hi everybody. This weekend wasn't very fun. Mom was in a bad mood and stressed out and Dad worked on someone else's Jeep somewhere else. I'm making Dad stay home and work on my Jeep on Friday.
On Saturday, Mom and I were the victims of the bed puker. It was very disturbing and disgusting. Mom went into the bedroom after she got home from having lunch with Dad to get the laundry sorted to wash it and noticed a big puke spot on her side of the bed. Mom was not happy and wasn't planning on washing sheets. She pulled them off and pulled the matress cover off and wshed the light colored clothes first (that way the matress pad was done before the sheets since it goes on first - isn't she so smart?) then when she went to get the sheets and the dark clothes she stepped on my bed and found out I was a victim, too. Mom narrowed it down to Gunnar or Sasha since I don't spend much time in the bedroom unless there's someone in there to snuggle with. So we all tried to figure out who it was. Mom said that was the first time you couldn't tell who it was by the look of it. (I think she meant my the food.) So we all went to bed that night on clean sheets and bed cover and then 4 am Sunday morning we learned who the bed puker was. It was Sasha! Of course she stepped out of her bed. Mom and I gave her a hard time the next day for stepping out of her bed. She tried to make the point that she tried onthe other's, too but didn't make it because the beds are harder to get out of. Whatever! I slept horrible that night because I couldn't get comfy and the bed smelled......clean. Yuck! All the pillow fluffy had shifted when Mom and Dad put the cover back on my bed and I just couldn't get it to where it was supposed to and then that terrible clean smell kept me awake, too! And you know what! Sasha never had to have her bed washed. I think as a punishment, Mom should have washed her bed and all of those blankets she sleeps with. Instead, she only had to have one blanket washed and it's not even a blanket she uses very often!
That was it for the excitment. I do have pictures of a wonderful gift from Grandma, but I have to wait for Mom to get them off her camera and something happened at work yesterday and she freaked out BIG time and so she didn't get the pictures off the card. It took her today to fix the problem, too so they're still on the memory card and not on my blog. Hopefully tomorrow!
It's almost time for the highschoolers to get out so I better go get ready to yell at them to stay out of my yard.

Nothing Going On

I haven't been too busy to post this week or ignoring everybody. There's absolutely nothing going on! Nothing. Not one thing! It's also hot again so that doesn't help at all. Mom has a 3 day weekend and then Dad is off on Sunday and Monday for Labor Day Weekend and I have a feeling Mom will be working on cleaning her car and Dad will be working on the Jeep. Mom got her car title in the mail last week and went and had the title changed over into her married name this week so she decided since the car finally belongs to her, she is going to clean it really good and make it all pretty. I am so glad she didn't have a payment plan on me! I hate getting cleaned, especially really good scrubbings!
I hope you all have a good weekend, espcially if your parents have a 3 day weekend! Hopefully I'll have a fun story to tell you.
If your name isn't Flash, stop reading here.
I hope you are doing okay! I miss you a bunch!! Can't wait to hear all about your trip!

My Weekend

My weekend wasn't very exciting. Saturday was okay because Dad was feeling TONS better and guess what! The inside of the Jeep is pretty much done! The seats are in and the paint is dry and now he jsut needs to put the transmission in and a few other things and we can go somewhere! Dad started the Jeep on Saturday and I was stuck in the house and when Mom came inside I was going crazy! I wanted to be in the Jeep! I was worried he was going to go without me! Mom said there still isn't a transmission in it so don't worry because it won't go anywhere. I hope he gets it all done on his next day off! Labor Day weekend is coming and I have no idea what that means but I know Mom gets 3 days off and Dad will get 2 since he has to work on Saturday. That reminds me, I need to have a talk with my Dad's boss. Dad needs weekends off all the time so that he can be home with Mom and I...oh yeah and those other 2, too. That reminds me. you gall did great on guessing what was wrong with the picture on Friday's post. You dogs are so smart!
I found out Grandma and Grandpa Cheese were in town and they didn't come visit me! Can you believe that? I know I can't! Grandma brought toys to us on Saturday and I wanted to show Grandma and Grandpa Cheese my new toys and my new awesome collar, but nooooooooo, they were busy! Mom said she told them about my toys and new collar though and they said they were very happy for me. Not the same! I can't wait until it's time to go visit them! THEN! Guess what Mom did! She went to a dog show on Sunday! Why in the world would you go to a dog show and not take a dog? Mom's weird that way I guess. It was at the state fair and it was Aunt Cassie's nephew's 4-H project. Mom smelled like so many dogs it took Sasha and I almost an hour to sniff her down. She also had lots of food smells that were on top of the dog smells. Mom said it was fun at first, but then got reallyboring (DUH I could have told her that jus tbby the name! It was a dog show! A show for dogs!!!!). She said it was cool seeing all the different types of dogs there, but the people organizing it were very unorganized and they spent 4 hours waiting for the awards ceremony that they said would be at 1:00. Mom was really tired when she got home. She said that she was amazed at seeing how all the dogs were behaving. She said she was glad we weren't show dogs even though those dogs were really good and very well behaved, she likes our craziness and unpredictability better. Not sure what that means, but my Mom's weird so I'm sure it's a good thing.
The kids across the street are doing weird things again so I have to go bark at them through the picture window some more. I have to do this every day there's school. Mom says I get Monday off, too. I think Mom and I will have to have one of our "cuddle and sleep in while Dad works on the Jeep" mornings on Monday.

What's Wrong With This Picture

I know I've been promising this post all week , but we got baths the other night and let's jsut say I'm not happy. Mom is making a big deal about how good we smell, but I really don't care. I'm not going to post pictures because I think Mom seeing all the bath pictures lately gave her the idea to do it and I don't want to be the reason for some other poor defenseless dog getting a bath.
Okay, so her's the picture. Can you tell what's wrong with it?
Here's some clues as to what the answer isn't. It isn't I'm not wearing my cool new collar that I love a BUNCH (you should have seen how upset I was when Mom took it off for my bath and didn't put it on until the next morning!). The answer isn't that there's a bench seat in the living room. The answer isn't that there's a big nasty spot in the seat.
Ready for the answer?
Here it is: The thing that is wrong with this picture is.....GUNNAR IS SITTING ON TOP OF THE FRONT SEAT OF MY BIG JEEP!!! What is up with the cat sitting on a seta frrom a vehicle! He hates car rides and he's sitting on the seat that belongs in MY Jeep. See me giving him dirty looks? In case your're wondering what he's looking at, it's the ceiling fan. I do the same thing. There's an airconditioner vent right above the ceiling fan in the living room and it makes a really nice place to stand (or sleep) when you're hot .
This is what the picture should look like:
See, Dad and his 2 dogs in the Jeep seat. Actually since this is the front seat, it should be Mom and Dad on the ends with Mom's camera equipment between them and Sasha on Mom's lap and me in the back seat. The back seat is in the computer room. Dad was working on putting the extra padding on the front seat and then the seat cover. It doesn't look like this anymore, but it's still in the living room. The funny thing is, Mom says it's more comfy than the couch and is thinking about getting rid of some other furniture in the living room and getting bench seats to sit on. As long as it comes from a Jeep I think I'd be okay with replacing my chair with a Jeep seat - has to be a Jeep though cuz they're the most comfy. Dad says the seat I sit on in the back is actually from a truck, but it's become one with my Jeep so it's now a Jeep seat. The reason that seat is in the house too is because Dad ran out of room in the 2 car garage and didn't want it to get dirty while he's inishing painting the cool stuff inside my Jeep. I really hope he gets it finished so I can take pictures of me having fun in my Jeep again. He needs to hurry up and get well (he got another shot yesterday and was not happy about it).
Have a great weekend everybody!!

My Sorta-Sister Dory

I'm sure a lot of you know Dory. This is my most favorite picture of her. Dory is my sorta-sister because we are so much a like. Those of you that know Dory know about all of her cool collars that she has. On her collar in this picture you can see sailboats.

Well, yesterday a package came and you'll never guess what was in it! A cool collar from Dory! There are no pictures of the opening of the package because Mom forgot her memory card was in her bag because she had gotten the pictures off from what I was originally going to post today (check back tomorrow for those, this story is much more exciting) and not in her camera. Anyway, once I saw that it was a collar and that it was camo I went crazy!!! Look at how cool it is (also no up close pictures of it off of me for the same reason and then after it was on me, I wouldn't let Mom take it off)! It's my most favorite color in the entire world! Camo green! There's black paw prints and black labs on it, too! Mom kept the tag so I could tell you where it is from but of course she didn't put it in a spot I could find it, but I'm sure Dory can tell us where it's from. Mom started adjusting it and it took her forever and ever to get it the right size. I was actually kind of insulted that she started off so huge! She finally got it on me and then I wouldn't let her take it off. The inside if the collar is so nice and soft against my fur and there's not that big long tail flapping around like on my old collar. See how happy I am in my brand new collar! I'm stylin' just like Dory! When Dad finally got home last night, he put my tags on my new collar and messed with the size a little more and I was extremly hyper for the rest of the night. Sasha was so jealous of me!! I loved it! I can't wait to show everybody else I know. Grandma is supposed to come by this week sometime to borrow the computer and I can't wait to show her my wonderful new color. Later last night I got a crazy feeling and started rolling all over the living room floor and doing zoomies from the dining room into the living room and back. Mom thought maybe Dad got my new collar too tight and there was not enough oxygen getting to my brain and that was causing my craziness, but nope, it was happy craziness because I love my new collar so much! It's the bestest ever! Dad said it's a little dangerous in the dark though. When we went outside he couldn't see me. Mom said we'll get me an orange hunting vest to wear outside in the dark. They're crazy!
I love my new collar a bunch!!! Thank you so much Dory for it. It's perfect! Thank you to Dory's Mom, Liza and Dory's brother, Mac, too. I LOVE YOU GUYS A BUNCH!!!!!
School started today and it's almost time for school to get out so I have to go make sure none of those kids cross the street and come into my yard. Living across the street from a school takes a lot of gueard duty. Check back tomorrow for the funny pictures.

Happy Barkday to My Dad!

Happy Barkday to my Dad!
Happy Barkday to my Dad!
Happy Barkday to myyyyyyeeeeeeee Daaaaaa-aaaaaadd!
Happy Barkday to my Dad!
Yesterday was my Dad's barkday and I was going to post this yesterday but Dad and Grandma were hogging the computer. I will say that what ever they did to the computer, made the internet TONS better.
My Dad still isn't feel good so he's going back to the doctor. He was supposed to make his appointment for today, but it's not until Thursday. I think he's hoping to feel better before then. Mom and Grandma told him he had to go back so he made the appointment. Sneaky Dad!
Do you like Dad's barkday cake? It's Bart Simpson and Mom made it. (Mom says not to look at the ugly wallpaper in the kitchen.) There's a lot of chocolate in the cake so Sasha and I didn't get any of it. We did clean up some crumbs on the floor though, but don't tell Mom, she thought someone cleaned them up for her. Aunt Cassie, Aunt Gillian and Grandma all came over to celebrate Dad's birthday. I had a lot of fun hogging Grandma's attention. I didn't care if anybody else was giving attention to Sasha and Gunnar, but I'm Grandma's favorite so I have to be sure all her attention stays on me!
Hope everybody had a gret weekend! I have a funny post for tomorrow. I'm going to go start on it now.

GUESS WHAT! GUESS WHAT! GUESS WHAT!

Sunday was MY day! Saturday Mom and Dad were gone almost all day which wasn't fun, but Sunday Dad finally went back to work and Mom stayed home. I was hoping to get to blog on Sunday since Dad has been hogging the computer while he was home sick all of last week, but Mom hogged it. SHEESH! But, Mom didn't hog it all day, she spent time with me! She played with me and I helped her clean the bathroom andwe made lunch together (I discovered I really don't like cucumbers) and I got tons of ear scratching. Sasha hid almost all day so all attention was on ME! After lunch Mom and I were on the couch watching Scooby-Doo (have I mentioned my Mom is a Scooby freak? Sasha's real name is Sasha-Soo!) and the phone wrang. I thought it was Dad checking in on us, but no it was my Aunt Gillian. I haven't seen her since after my Mom's surgery. Well, she needed a ride into town because she lives in the next town over and doesn't have a vehicle anymore and wanted to know if Mom would come get her. GUESS WHAT! Mom said okay and then she asked if I wanted to go and it's been so long since I've gone anywhere and so I was confused and then Sasha heard and that was when I realized what Mom asked me so I gave her the sad but cute puppy eyes and then Sasha caught on and Mom looked at us and said we could both go so she went and started the car and got it cooled down enough for us and then we went to get in Mom's car. Sasha ran to the truck instead of the car. Mom got mad because Sasha is getting really bad about not listening to Mom. I would have rather gone in the truck or the Jeep, too but I knew that since it was Mom, we were in the car (it's also the one with the best air conditioning so I didn't complain at all). Sasha rode all the way to Aunt Gillian's house on the floor which confused Mom and I. She was mad because Mom told her she had to ride in the back seat. Personally, I prefer the back seat. More room to spread out. It took us about 20 minutes to get to Aunt Gillian's and then when we got there, I didn't get to go see my cousin Bailey, well I go to see her but she didn't come with us and I didn't get to get out because Mom was worried about the traffic. So Aunt Gillian got in the car and we came back to town and then we dropped her off. When Aunt Gillian got in the car, Sasha finally got on the seat but she whined all the way back to town because she wanted to sit in Aunt Gillian's lap, but Mom said she was being a butthead so she had to sit in the back. Mom kept looking in the mirror and telling me what an awesome dog I was being. She said I am the bestest car dog! So we came back home and I took a nap (car rides make me tired). Mom went to pick Dad up from work and I didn't ask to go because I was really tired. Awhile later Mom and Dad were outside doing stuff with gates open which means dogs have to stay inside and the phone wrang and I didn't know who it was because I was outside and Mom answered it in the garage and then Mom came inside and got her purse and went out the back door so I followed her and Sasha doesn't like to go outside unless Dad goes with her so she stayed inside and boy did she regret it. We went out the back said bye to Dad and then Mom said come on Kaos. I got in Mom's car and we went to pick up Aunt Gillian and took her back home! TWO CAR RIDES IN ONE DAY! On the way back home Mom asked if I wanted to sit in front and I didn't, but I think Mom wanted some company in the front so I hopped up front with Mom. Mom told me I was a really good dog and she was very happy she brought me both times for company. The airconditioner was colder up front and it made me sleepy so I curled up on the seat and layed my head on Mom's purse and she petted my head. She asked if I had fun and I gave her the "VERY MUCH! I LOVE YOU MOM!" tail wag. When we got home Sasha was REALLY jealous. Mom said if she wasn't such a butthead she could have gone, too. Mom told her she needs to stop being so stuckup and whiney like ME!
Today, when Mom came home for lunch she got us out some chewies and she gave be a handful instead of jsut my normal one. I hid them throughout the house so that when she gets home I can sit on the couch and chew on them with her and I don't have to worry about Sasha stealing all my chewies. Before Mom left she told me thank you for being such a good dog. OH and this morning the alarm clocks went off and so I got up on the bed on Mom's side and me, Mom and Dad had some major morning cuddles and then Dad told me I was being very good and then he told me thank you for being so calm. Hold on I have to take some breathes before I pass out........okay I'm okay now.
Thank you to everybnody that sent my Dad get better vibes. He has Bronchitas and Sinitus. He's on some medicine and blows his nose a lot. He's doing a little better, but he still isn't feeling very good. He's decided to stop smoking too! He started taking some other drug that some coworkers told him about and hopefully that will work. He's really excited about stopping, but that is going to mess up our nightly routine! I hope he still comes outside with us when it's time to go potty at night! I didn't think of that part! Oh well, as long as he's feeling better and heathy. Dad told me that with the money he'll save from not buying cigarettes he can afford to do more cool stuff to the Jeep and buy me more stuff! WOOHOOO!!!!!!
Okay, I am really tired now and it's really hot again so I'm going to go take a nap now. Hope all of you had a great weekend, too!

Sick Dad

Dad is sick now! Dad never gets sick! I took care of him yesterday and he's feeling worse today so he's going to the doctor. Dad NEVER goes to the doctor! Mom is going to come get him to take him. This is totally backwards! Dad is the one that takes Mom to the doctor! Dad took a nap yesterday and that's when we knew he was really sick. He NEVER takes naps unless he doesn't feel good. I'm really good at making Mom feel better, but I seem to only annoy my Dad when he isn't feeling good. I don't know what to do for him. I know exactly what to do for Mom. I'm not used to Dad being sick! Hopefully the doctor will be able to help him. I'm so stressed out! I'm going to go see if Dad will give me some of those wonderful treats Mom made me...I mean Sasha and I.
